I remember seeing Steve Jobs, or as I say, "Steve" demo a version of iTunes with support for Rendezvous at the Apple Expo Paris in September 2002. He noted that it was going to be released "in the beginning of next year" (2003) but we have yet to see or hear anything of the kind. Do you guys remember and what is the future holding? I think many people had forgotten about it, because there have been no mentions of it as a new feature with iLife.

I'm hoping they get this feature out soon. Whether it'll be a whole new version of iTunes or just a 3.x update, I don't know. Steve did say, "at the beginning of 2003," but he probably meant it in a business sense. "At the beginning" generally means sometime in the first business quarter. So, I'd expect it on or before April 1.

they won't release it for a little while now because they are talking about people buying iLife with really slow connections like modems and them buying it so they don't have to download everything for a long amount of time and things like that

stereo with rendezvous?!?!

is this true?? man i want one of those!!!! that would be great -- though it kind of nullifies my purchase of my iPod and my monster cable......oh well, I can use it other places.

the only problem with this logic is that renezvous will only work if you are on a network...so if the update is just adding rendezvous, apple could warn modem users and make it available for those with faster connections and networks
