iPhone itunes wont back up phone?

First time I've tried to do a back up since the JB and I'm getting an error that

iTunes could not back up the iPhone because and error occurred

has anyone else experienced that? got a fix?

Windows or Mac? If you have windows you can try deleting or moving your host file from its current location in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

Or start tiny umbrella then sync in iTunes. Good luck.
