Trying to backup my ip7 iTunes says no space on my mac
I have a ton of space left.
Any ideas?
I have over 800gb of free space and restarted mac and iphone.
Just tried my iPad it backed it up no problem but won't backup my ip7.

I got the same notice last night... but i don't have any suggestions for you other than to try again. Mine backed up a few minutes ago. Must bee some weird glitch...

I was onto Apple Support this week for a few hours with same issue. Tried backing up my 6s to iTunes and iCloud several times with no luck. Got the storage message then latterly a message stating phone disconnected when it wasn't. The Apple support person said that sometimes the error message is not accurate in that the MB / iTunes will know there is an error but may not be sure exactly what it is.

Turned out to be a software error and one we reset and restored the phone it was fine. It will back up now.

Bit annoying as I like to keep all my SMS messages and some data on apps that don't sync to iCloud but as couldn't do a backup I couldn't restore to my new 7+.

Mostly am happy that the phone does not have a hardware issue (as was a possibility) because I am about to send away for trade in/sale.

I got the same message this morning and was like WTF - how much space does it suddenly need! Also had a message about updating to 10.0.2 so did that first and now its happy to backup with the same amount (300GB) of free space :D
