WHen I try to use iTUnes and connect to the Store, even when the Settings menu says I am connected to my wireless network, the iPhone tells me I "Cannot Connect to the iTunes Store-you must connect to a WiFi network ..." It worked once, and I downloaded 1(one) song, but then I had to go through INCREDIBLE evolutions to get my contacts off my old phone into the iPhone, and now I have this problem. Any thoughts?

My iPhone will use my home WiFi to browse the internet - slowish, but it works, but it still won't recognize the WiFi when I tap on the iTunes icon.
I tried turning the phone off and on; I tried telling it to forget my home network, turning it on and off, and still, so far, nothing works.
Under the name of the network, it is in DHCP mode, it shows an IP Address, and an Subnet mask, but nothing in the spaces for "Router", "DNS", "Search Domains" or "Client ID".
I frankly don't remember exactly how I got my phone contacts into the iPhone from my Motorola Razr. I tried for about two days, and finally I think I copied each contact onto my Mac's desktop from the Razr, and then back into iTunes, snd then plugged in the iPhone, and then I think the iTunes synced with the iPhone. All I know is that I spent a lot of time turning the computer on and off, launching and relaunching iTunes, and by the time it worked, I was so pooped I didn't document it.

so it seems like your router is not giving the right info to the iPhone as far as DNS info(which would make sense if you're getting slow internet as well). Don't worry about Search Domains or Client ID, but definitely figure out what your DNS entries should be and get those in there.
You should be able to get this from other computers on your network, or from your router or by contacting the ISP. Then when you type them in, try disabling WiFi and re-enabling to reconnect the iPhone to the network and see if that works.
