Does I tunes come standard on a Mac Book Pro or does it need to be Installed? If it does can I install from the same one i have on my pc?

It comes installed on all Macs.

And no, you cannot use the installer from your PC on your Mac, unless you've dual-booted it into Windows.

So I can download the software from my ipod purchase onto my PC and dont have to worry when my lap top gets here correct?

You're talking about 2 different things. ARe you talking about iTunes Music Store purchases? If so, yes, you can download them to your PC/iPod and transfer them later. You will simply have to authorize your new laptop to use the music.

Just be sure you check the Apple support website for tips on using a Windows-formatted iPod on a Mac.

Basically i have no idea whats going on. i got my ipod today and my Mac Book Pro is coming this week. I guess I dont know where to begin> should i just wait for the laptop to get here or what...?

Is your iPod a Mac one or a Windows one?

Theres no such thing as a windows or mac specific iPod. The iPod will work with either a mac or pc its just once you format your iPod you can only sync it with the iTunes library on the computer you formatted it with(unless you reformat it).

Ok Scoot if your asking if you should wait to use your iPod until your MBP gets there then its up to you(I know I wouldnt want to wait till my other computer got there but if patience is your thing thats cool). But if like me you dont want to wait you can format your iPod for your pc and then later reformat it for your mac(I find the iPod and iTunes work better together on mac then they do on pc) or you can just keep it formatted for your pc.

Thanks guys. Ill prolly just wait a few more days. Although in my order status still says my computer is in China. I dont know whats up with that.

A "mac" iPod is an iPod formatted for the Mac (meaning it's HFS+), which will NOT work with a Windows box, because Windows cannot see HFS+ volumes. This is all I meant by a "Mac" or "Windows" iPod. For all I know it could be a 1st Gen iPod.

BTO Macs are assembled in China and shipped from there.
