This may seem silly but I’m generally confused by this concept...I’m upgrading from X to Xs Max on IUP. If I paid sales tax on the full amount of the X last time and only kept it 11 (will have paid for 12) months, then why do I have to pay the full sales tax for the Xs Max now? Anybody know of the answer to this or is able to tell me I’m wrong?

Kind of a bummer, but one of the few downsides to basically leasing the phone. Have to pay for a months payment to upgrade before 12th payment due to the staggered launch. Just have to swallow it and enjoy your device I would imagine

Why did you pay full sales tax for your X first time around? Didn’t the tax included in each months payment?

They don't include tax on each month payment. You just pay the full sales tax in one go. So if you go and see on the iUP, the pricing shows there currently is just the device and AppleCare plus spread to 24 month.

When do u pay the full sales tax then? Along with first payment? Or before first payment ?
