Other IUP with AT&T Prepaid?

Hey everyone, 2 years ago i did IUP for our phones with at&t postpaid account, i've since moved to prepaid not realizing that IUP is no longer an option =(

Does anyone know a way around that? I realize i could purchase outright with cash, or use apple's credit card, but i like the features of IUP. any help is greatly appreciated!

I don’t think there is. I’m in the same boat. Was going to try the IUP this year, but I’m on prepaid as well.

I guess that’s one of the downsides of prepaid since the plans are so cheap! If you have AMEX they have a “plan it” option where you can split payments across set number of months. However I think there is a small “plan fee” every month which is pretty much a fancy way of saying interest.

Couple years ago my husband was on prepaid and wanted the IUP. We went into the Apple Store and had him just open an ATT post paid account. Once the phone was active he just put his prepaid SIM in it went home and cancelled the ATT account. He still had to pay something for the postpaid account, don't remember what and obviously it was a hit to the credit.

I wouldn't do that circus again but it's an option.
