Okay, I'm pretty upset now. I've been waiting almost a month for my PowerBook to be sent back to me. I brought it to an Apple Store on July 31, and I still have not recieved it. Every time I call, they say "oh yes, we should be shipping it out in a couple days". The last time I called was last Saturday, and they have not shipped it out yet. Meanwhile I have a web design job I have to finish in 2 weeks. Last time I had my PowerBook repaired it took less that a week. Anybody else have a similar expierence?

I work at a university and have helped many students with repairs... none of them have ever taken a month to fix!!! Next time you call them up get them to explain to you what they are working on: What problem they have diagnosed, and what they are doing to fix it.
there is no reason a repair on a computer should take more than 2 weeks to fix.

I would definitely call then up and ask for an explanation. I have no idea what could take a month to repair. Your best bet is to make sure you don't hang up until they fully clarify whats happening with your laptop.

Ouch.

Its quite possible its been lost. :( Start going up the chain on the phone. Ask for supers politely. Just don't let them hang up on you without a solution.

Go to your local apple store, ask for the super there. Make sure you get an honest query into where you laptop went.

Dont allow them any more time. You waited 4 weeks and should expect immediate resolution to your problem. Hopefully you don't have any info you want on that Powerbook.

Honestly, I would start pressuring them for a replacement unit. It is a fast solution for them, and you get a new mac book in exchange.

Don't ever let them know your angry, just be polite but _strict_ with what you want them to do.

Good luck.

Also, they said there waiting for a part, but this has been since the 5th.

EDIT: OMG, they're sending me a brand new MacBook Pro!
