i've heard that some people have been able to replace their macbooks and macbook pro's when new models have been released, an example being when the SR macbooks came out, is there a time limit to this? Is it possible for me to switch my SR MB for the Updated Penryn one when it comes out? (i'd imagine not, but i'm wondering how far Apple's generosity stretches)
i got my Macbook two weeks ago on thursday from the UK education store (and am very happy with it)

I would say unless you purchase it 14 days before new models come out, or are having serious technical issues with your current model, you'd probably be out of luck getting them to exchange it.

The limit is generally 2 weeks and seeing as the Penryns haven't even been rumored for the Macbooks yet so it'll be a least a couple of months if not more before they get them.
