I don't want to pay the .mac membership since i wouldn't use it behind my blog. I do have a 60 days trial though... any tips? Thank you for your help.

HTML, images, all that good stuff and hardcodes it all into its own architecture. You'd do better getting a webhosting account, and using FTP to upload and update your "site".
