iweb question

I am not exactly sure a question about iweb belongs in a forum for actual web desing but I don't know where else to put it so here goes. Being a new mac user I am just tickled about how easy iweb is. I do however have one question. When I got my site up and published it works like it supposed to. the catch is that there is a lot of unused space on both the left and right sides. How do I make use of this space?

You could make the layout wider. Could put in a image background for the page. What type of stuff do you want to fill the space with? I think it looks fine as is as far as spacing.

to make a wider page go to "inspector" and in "content width" make the numbers higher to get a wider page and more space
