Okay, so I've been playing around on iWeb for a few days now and I'm getting to like it. I've made a site with a few pages on my iMac but I can't for the life of me work out how to transfer it to the iBook so I can edit it from either. I would've thought this would be quite easy considering everything else in .Mac is so easily synchronised. I feel like an idiot, what have I overlooked?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. FWIW, I've searched through Apple's site and obviously had a look around here but haven't come up with anything yet. :(

Edit: so now I've worked out that I need to transfer Domain.site from iWeb on the iMac to the iBook, but I still can't keep them synchronised. :(

So maybe you can save everything into a sync folder with .mac to sync 'em? You can keep a local copy of your .mac contents. Where is the folder that needs to be sync'd? I haven't looked yet cause iWeb does work on my G3 iBook at work.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing now but it's pretty messy because I've gotta physically copy the Domain.site file to the iWeb folder each time. iWeb doesn't seem to let me change where it saves the sites and there's still no simple way to sync between computers. It just seems a bit odd since Apple pushed .Mac with iLife 06 so heavily, it's not like them to forget something this simple which makes me think that it's probably just user-error/ignorance or something.

Thanks for the feedback though Kyle Nerder. :)

Just that little extra something for iLife 07? :p

Interesting, thanks for the link iMeowbot. :)

I really don't get why Apple constricts me so. I mean, would it really be all that difficult to have iWeb save Domain.sites in a customisable spot?

I think I'll work on iWeb from the single Mac but it's nice to know that it's possible from multiple Macs, albeit unsupported and not particularly user-friendly.

When Apple throw in weird arbitrary restrictions like that, it usually means that a more costly full-featured version is being considered. Frankly, I was shocked to see that the new iPhoto is more flexible about image file placement than Aperture!

Anyway, keep article 75185 under your pillow. It's updated a lot more reliably than the tech support search or the RSS feed.
