all iApps are tiny little apps, we love to use and we don´t have to pay for.
--------------
last all-in-one-wonder is AppleWorks - aqua-fied but far away from M$Office. the word processor is a pain, the excel thingy is cute ... but, who cares?, data banking would be nicer; and who really needs a powerpoint derivat?!
--------------
we DO pay for an "update" (Jag), we do pay for a system extension (QTpro), we do pay for .mac. etc.pp.
--------------

could it be /spec mode ON/, we will see in the not-so-far-away future two new iApps?

iWord
word processor with the needful capabilties ("place your companys logo here!", "watermark", templates/styles) and that´s it! no montrous half-gig thingy with gazillions of features you´ve never heard of and you never miss.-

iTank (aka=filemaker junior)
ready-made templates; "place your scan here" (OCR???); rolodex browesing; connex to iCal and Adressbook; publish on your .mac account....-

any rumors? HELLO STEVE! NEXT JAN??

apple is already hard at work making a version of oppenoffice that will work natively in osx (not through x11 emulation). there are several other threads that have some information on this. just be patient... ;)
