I could see a potential problem when your classmates and professors start sending you Excel and Word files that won't load quite properly in Pages or TextEdit. For the most part they will but sometimes things can get "lost in translation."

I'm a sophmore in high school and have iWork '06. I only have used Pages so far and I would say that it is a pretty good app. Its nice and clean but can be difficult to use when it comes to fonts, bold, alignment, spacing, etc because its not directly in the toolbar like it is in Word. Otherwise, I like it much better than Word because it looks much better and seems more clean and customizable. I probably like it because its not overloaded with features like Word is. I also wrote a review on apple.com for iWork '06... to see it you have to access iWork through the online Apple Store.
