I am knew to Mac, (I am planning to buy a MBP this summer), so you mat think this question is stupid, but I really have not a single idea about this.

Does iWork files can be opened as presentations in a PC? I know you won't be able to modify them, but can you see them?

Yes, you can, but it messes things up, and it doesn't look as cool.

It changes the cool transitions and effects, to the boring Powerpoint effects.

Also, be sure to export the file as a Powerpoint file, or it won't work at all.

if your presentations need to be shown on a pc, your best bet is to get office and use powerpoint. but since your planning on a laptop, you could always bring your laptop with you and do the presentation from it instead of some windows box. if that can work for you, i'd definately recommend it, if not, theres always office

Or you can save (export) your presentation as a movie file, then do what you want with it on a PC...well...except you can't edit it
