iWork Pages files synch from MBA to iMac?

Is there any easy way to sync iWork Pages files on MBA with Pages files on an iMac locally by WiFi (or less preferably by USB) so that any file updates on either machine can be synched to the other?

Or is it best to just switch to the web based Google Docs for this purpose?

It would be great if there was a Pages to Google Docs sync plug-in but there does not seem to be any as yet.

DropBox is really the king.

With referrals, easy to get a decent space of storage. I was using it to sync documents between three different computers without a problem.

Essential piece of software if you have more than one computer.

NEVER had an issue. It's amazing. Use Chrome OR Firefox with Xmarks for syncing your bookmarks and you are all set to work with multiple computers to share files.

Thanks for the suggestions. Dropbox is free initially it seems but if you exceed 2 GB then the next step up is $10 per month which seems a bit steep. Chronosync costs $40 initially but since no web storage has to be involved there is no preset storage limit apart from your own hard disk limitations. I may go with the latter. Thanks very much.

You can selectively sync on dropbox. It also has LAN sync which keeps your local computers synced without resorting to online storage.

Not sure if you can just sync locally?

You can get 8Gb extra just from referrals (16Gb if you're a student).

Plus some extras here and there.

Yep, I find good ole Dropbox to work better than iDisk. Dropbox enables me to sync quickly between all three computers and mobile devices. You would think Apple would have figured by now how iWork documents could more easily be synced between devices. It’s silly that you have to upload iWorks projects to iWorks.com and then download them into the respective apps on your mobile device or other computer.

I stumbled upon another approach for my needs that may be of use to some on this board.

Notesync is a $5.00 Mac desktop app that syncs with Google Docs automatically whenever you go online. It is mostly for just simple text type notes and is still in early stages of development. I am told by the developer that printing Google Docs files from Notesync directly will be a new feature available only by end of this month (Feb). Have been using it for past week now and it works well for my needs.

I would not mind using Pages and iWork.com in similar manner to sync my documents from MBA to iMac but one major problem for me is that I can not easily search thru all document files containing specific terms quickly like I can with Google Docs and Notesync. Is there a quick way of doing this in either Pages or iWork.com?
