Possible Word Processing app or PDA type handwriting technology? (maybe I shouldn't have mentioned PDA)

From Think Secret - In other news: Apple today publicly released a firmware update for the Power Mac G5; the tweak was first reported in a Think Secret report late last month.

A reader also noted that Apple filed for a trademark for the name "iWrite" under the classification of "computer hardware/software." Apple filed the application on September 12 and it is waiting for assignment to an examining attorney. (Apple also filed for this trademark in the Australian trademark office; it is currently under examination there.) For some context, it should be noted that Apple frequently trademarks names that it never uses for a shipping product.

I figured it would be a word processing app. But that sure sounds unprofessional for a competitor to Word. I liked "Document" better. The could have named Keynote "iPresent," but "Keynote" sounds more professional.

But then I thought that it probably couldn't be word processing. That would make it "iType." So maybe it will be hand recognition.
