My mother is interested in buying the Canon Ixus 70.
She's running iLife '06 and Leopard.

Is this camera/software a good combination from a
compatibility standpoint?

Thanks.

The Ixus is pretty much a standard mainstream P&S camera. No reason for it not to work.

Where you run into problems is with brand new DSLRs where the user wants to shoot in RAW format. It takes Apple months to support these new cameras. These issuses don't apply to mainstream P&S cameras that can only shoot JPG format.

I see. Thanks very much for the advice.
