This Thread is here for all those who wish that the developers of Jaadu had not changed the icon in the latest update... The Glossy design was so much more in keeping with the look of many the existing iphone App Icons....

...Please BRING IT BACK!

All those who agree, please throw your hat in the ring, perhaps the developer will stumble across this and see the error of his ways.

(On the other hand if we are in fact the minority then at least we tried!!)

Sorry but I see nothing wrong with the current one. It works when I touch it, I can recognize that it launches Jaadu, so can see no reason to moan. ;)

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the appearance, not the functionality. ;)

No? Really? ;)

Why do people moan so much about icon appearances? I mean, FFS, your iPhone is off, you can't see them; you want to do something with one of the apps you have loaded, so you flick quickly through to the app and touch it, so you see the icons for less than a second; your app launches, so you can't see the icons. What's the big deal. Your iPhone is a tool to be used for a purpose.

Or are there people out there who just waste battery by idly flicking through the Home screens gazing lovingly at the icons thinking "I'm so glad I paid hundreds of dollars for this black screen with tiny icons, some of which are really pretty ..... Oh hang on, this icon isn't.... Hey developer, your icon sucks... I want my money back!"

It's a phone, not an icon gallery.

LOL....

I am so vin about my iphone that i dont even care if it DID or DIDNT launch the App right now, as long as the icon was well designed!

Jaadu sits on my home page as i use it a lot for quick access to stuff on my mac when not using my laptop, but it just feels like such an eyesore now, well maybe not an eyesore but it really bugs me!

I agree, but you really need to send an email to the developer know there are many people who prefer the original glossy. I did the day the last update came out.

You may not have noticed, but there are A LOT of people who buy Apple products (specifically the iPhone) because they look pretty. I'm not one of them, but I prefer uniformity in my icons. Why get your panties in a wad because another forum member isn't pleased with his icon? Suggesting he write the developer like another user did is much more helpful than ridiculing him. Something tells me you don't care either way.

I have Jaadu (and love it BTW), but I never noticed that it changed.

Does anyone have a side by side comparison of the two icons?

Well they've changed it back thankfully...

only problem is the new icon is not only slightly smaller than it should be, the quality is terrible and the gloss is all blurry.

And there's no defining edge anymore. I don't like black-on-black. I wish they'd change the color of the icon.

HILARIOUS!!!

I just updated to the newest version of Jaadu and saw that the icon has reverted, so I thought I would post here to... well gloat tbh!

The chances that this thread actually had any impact on the developers decision to revert to the old icon are slim, perhaps my email also had no impact.. But obviously I wasn't alone in my request.

I have read a lot of reviews on the App Store where users were in happy at a change of icon, we all have tastes of design and when showing off my iPhone to friends and potential iPhone buyers I think a home page of well designed icons is a great selling point and well looks pretty damn cool too...

The funny point is how pissed u get at a harmless thread requesting a design change... Not one post mentions refunds so ur mention of it makes me laugh a little more...

Anyhoo... Thanks to Jaadu Team for listening to ur customers....

I still hate the icon. Black looks terrible on a black screen. Perhaps it will look okay when Apple lets us change the home screen background, but I won't hold my breath.

The problem is, whilst it's better, it's still not as good as the very FIRST Jaadu icon.

- There's no defining edge around the whole icon, so it now looks smaller than every other one on the homescreen.

- The glossy curved line is blury and not at all sharp.

- The whole thing looks quite low res.

I don't understand why they can't just use the original they had.
