opened up mac help. noticed some 3rd party apps i installed in the drawer (help center). is there a central location? a folder with help files? file type?

find did nothing

MacOS X standard help files are in HTML format. Some have the .html extension. Others have the .help extension. You may find many such files in the /Macintosh HD/Library/Documentation/Help/ directory. You will find a similar directory under your home directory.
 
so ahh.... i see "wiretap help" in the mac help. looking around in the above mentioned locations turned up nothing. went to app and opened package and found html file

dropping other html files in the library locations did not show up in mac help. i also notice most in there had .help ext
