jail break BRAND new iphone 3gs/ unlock

i have a brand new iphone 3gs its locked to the voda network in the uk

i have tried my usual method of using pwanage tool to jailbreak and then unlock

I cant do this i think because the phone has never been activated.

is it possible to jailbreak and unlock and actviate at the same time ? a new iphone 3gs..
i dont have a voda sim card only 02 ones..
the phone has the normal "connect to itunes, emergency calls only " message at present.

please basic steps, i am no expert at all..

Its possible to both jailbreak and unlock the new 3GS as long as its not updated to 3.1.3

True, maybe if he got lucky he got one with 3.1.2

a friend of mine got a 3gs on voda and it has 3.1.3, id be suprised if youve got one with 3.1.2.

I would just add that, even if you do not have 3.1.3, it is highly unlikely that you will have the old bootrom. You will therefore be limited to a tethered jailbreak.
