Jail-breaking 3GS

just want to be sure before i go ahead and use pwnageTool 3.1.3 to upgrade to 3.1

i have a 3GS with 3.0 firmware that's jailbroken by redsn0w. Is it safe for me to download the Pwnagetool 3.1.3 to upgrade to firmware 3.1 and jailbreak it ?

Yep. That's how you do it. It will work fine.

Yes. I'm using it right now. It only matters what baseband your phone is using, not what firmware it is on. And pwnage tool is preventing the baseband update.
