Will jailbreaking void the warranty? I had heard something about Apple being able to check in 3.0 if the iphone has been jailbroken, even after restore to normal software. Thoughts?

No way to tell if you restore to regular firmware and don't use a backup. It's all software, so you'd be good.

IMHO not much of a warranty anyway, you take a New iPhone to them, you get a remanufactured one in return.

Something fishy about that.
