God I really hope this comes to fruition.
If I still had a 3G I would care but the fact that I have all this unused RAM just makes me crave some resource hungry bolt-ons.![]()
I can tell you the dev team took a big leap forward with their latest progress report available here: http://chronic-dev.org/blog/2009/10/another-progress-update/
Out today? I don't view it as likely. They've said they want to get it right. I'd guess weeks not months thought.
The Dev team did it again. (But only for Macs).

awesome! but isnt 3.1 still buggy with battery issues and such? so updating to 3.1 and jb it still lead to problems?
This is true! I wouldn't update to this if all is fine for you on 3.0 or 3.01 due to new bugs introduced in 3.1.
Yeah, i tested it earlier. Took about 20 minutes total.Looks like it's ready:

The iPhone 3GS is now supported in PwnageTool 3.1.3, assuming the phone was pwned at 3.0 or 3.0.1 - PwnageTool does not support the 3GS out of the box. If your iPhone 3GS has 3.1 preinstalled and is not Pwned then there is no tested jailbreak solution at the moment.
Woot!!
I am still on 3.0 jailbroken and see no advantage in upgrading to 3.1, am I missing anything?
