Does the current jailbreak allow changing of text tones and so forth? and using this guide how do i just jailbreak instead of unlocking because that seems like it unlocks it.

the first thing i did when i jailbroke was change my text tone to rise against :)

so yes, you can change the tones, you just replace the files (After backing up of course...)

if you use pwnage tool you just click yes when it asks if you're a legit iphone user, then it won't unlock anything, just jailbreak.

thanks but now i have another question, when i selected my custom firmware i am not getting the itunes has been pwned notification????

ok i finally got it working, but how do i go about changing the text tones?????

install open ssh, then a client on your computer to connect to the phone (e.g. cyberduck on a mac)

then find your text sounds (sms-recieved....caf) and replace them (they're in system-audio-uisounds if i'm not mistaken)

you have to convert any tone you want to aiff using itunes then change the extention to .caf, and rename it to any of the names of the text sounds that are already there (sms-recieved etc)
