iPhone jailbreak app preventing restore?

hey guys, im a restoring to 8.3 and itunes keeps coming back with error, wont let me.

did i perhaps install a jb app that prevented this? i havent touched cydia for months and forget if i did this as a failsafe.

Check in Cydia for 'NO PLS RECOVERY' which prevents updates/restores.

Silly question but did you try DFU restore or did you just plug into iTunes and click restore/update?

You only do that to your phone if you want to restore and update the phone to the newest iOS version. When a phone is jailbroken, you can't simply connect to iTunes and click restore to update it to the newest settings. You must first put it in DFU mode and then initiate the restore. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU WANT TO BE ON THE LATEST (NON-JAILBREAKABLE) iOS (8.3 as of today 5/15/15)
