Hello, I was just wondering if i am jailbroken with ios 7.0.4, will it be possible to jailbreak to ios 8 when it comes without losing anything on my phone, and if so, how to do it? If i would lose data, I could just backup my phone first, I would hope? Btw i have a jailbroken iphone 5S on ios 7.0.4. Thanks in advance!

Right now there's no answer to that question. By "8 when it comes" I assume you mean the final release. There's no indication it will be able to be jailbroken (and by all odds Apple will have patched the 2 Pangu exploits)... so odds are NO, you won't be able to right away.

What I was basically implying was that is it possible to update to a newer ios IF you are already jailbroken. And if so how?

When you upgrade to newer firmware, you have to re-jailbreak (if possible), then re-install all your Cydia tweaks.

Ok, so I would have all my data BESIDES jailbreak tweaks and mods? I just have to jailbreak when the new firmware has a jailbreak, correct?

Yes, the way it always worked is the same.
You restore to stock iOS. Then jb it.
Then restore all your stuff with iTunes backup and sync all your apps, music etc back. Then open cydia and install your hacks again.
