Update available from the pangu app. Still no mac or updated computer client. Fixes iMessage, cydia substrate bug, and safari bugs.

I don't know. I already fixed it using the reddit method where you move the move.sh file.

----------

I can confirm that safari and iMessage photo sending works. Definitely update.

Please post said method. Link or instructions. Then we have a complete thread

From another thread on this subject:

So, there is an actual workaround for this. Back everything up, and then sidegrade your phone (upgrade to the same firmware) to start fresh. Put your phone in airplane mode, and then jailbreak with Pangu. Download OpenSSH through the Pangu app and download these two files: http://www5.zippyshare.com/v/93390044/file.html

Then SSH into your phone and place those files in var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall (if you don't have that directory, make them) and then reboot your phone twice. You will see the Cydia icon. DO NOT click on it yet. SSH into your phone again and navigate to /usr/libexec/cydia and delete "move.sh" and replace it with this one: http://www40.zippyshare.com/v/90456233/file.html

Once you SSH the new move.sh into the old one's location, finally navigate to /User/Library/Caches/LaunchServices-XXX.cssstore (the XXX will be 3 random numbers) and delete this file. It will make a new one when you reboot.

Finally, reboot and open Cydia. Let it prepare, and then when it reboots enable your passcode.

Enjoy. You will almost 100% certainly have to sidegrade/rejailbreak when an upgrade comes out for Cydia but who knows how long that will be.

does it fix the passcode reboot bug?

That bug is from Cydia, not Pangu. Anyway, I am now using my 6+ 8.1 JB ver 0.2 with passcode / finger print lock on. No problem at all.

You only need to turn off passcode when you perform the JB, or update the JB.

No. The update is through cydia. You'll see the jailbreak listed as an installed item in cydia. Just tap update and you're fine.

And you can simply use the Pangu app to install the update. Pangu -> Manager tap, and then you will see the update. No Cydia required.

I probably will but after hearing about the passcode bug and XBMC not working after the patch, I may hold off on jailbreaking for now.

XBMC have worked all along, but it have been a bit buggy, with some crashes.

How ever, they have now released a update for iOS 8.1, so now it works just like it should, with no crashes.

I read somewhere that the passcode fix breaks installing XBMC? or it errors when installing? I'm not sure if that's still the issue or not.

Not sure what fix your refering to.
But XBMC with the new update, works flawlessly on my Pangu iOS 8.1 breaked iPad Air.

And if there is a fix that breaks XBMC in anyway, its more or less always fixed with in a day or two, with the nightly builds.

The old work around that fixed the passcode issue caused install errors when trying to install Xbmc. This isn't the case anymore with the new version of Cydia so it installs fine now.
