Finally took the leap on my 4S and ever since it seams like my battery life is significantly reduced. I don't use Bluetooth, Location Services (just a couple apps), excessive brightness on the screen, etc.

Is there anything inherent to jailbreaking that would be an issue? Anything I should check?

Tweaks can carry memory leaks .
Usually - having a lot of tweaks is almost guaranteed to cause instability both in performance and battery life.

There is really nothing you can do if you don't wanna limit yourself using only a few tweaks .

One thing that was happening to me when I first jailbroke and saw faster battery drain...and this part is easily overlooked but its also possible your just using your phone more often because its now jailbroken and you keep playing with it. Once I got used to my phone and went back to normal usage, I noticed my battery life was about the same as pre-jailbreak.

This is just one thing to keep in mind. There are hundreds of threads on this issue. Take a look at your installed tweaks and cross reference those against what you learn in the hundreds of threads on jailbreak battery life.

This is definitely part of the issue.

Figured as much as well, just wasn't sure if there was one aha thing I could do. Like many people I sit at a desk next to a charger all day anyway so I'm not too concerned.

Haha me too. One other thing to keep in mind... Just because the battery might die faster than normal going from 100-65%, sometimes if you pay attention and don't charge it at this point, the time it takes to go from 65-15% might be almost twice as long as the first 35% you used. Does this make sense? What in saying is, going from 100-50% might be significantly faster than going from 50-0%. Anyways, this isnt always true. It's just something I've noticed over the years. Good luck!

and remove the % indicator altogether, I did this (suggested by someone on here) and my battery does last all day. I charge every night so lasting all day is all I need. With the % indicator gone I find that I do not obsess over it.
