Hey, this is the second time this has happened to me first on 2.0.1 and now on 2.0.2. So I have jailbroken my phone and all seems to work well and good and then a few weeks later when I go to access the music.app I am greeted with notice that says "No Content...You can download content from iTunes". Funny thing is that when I sync my phone with iTunes, the music is still there?

Does any one have any ideas on how to resolve this?

When you jailbreak, or restore for that matter, iTunes unchecks the "Sync all music" or any of those things..so you have to go back in and check it..

Unfortunately this is not the case. The necessary boxes are still check within iTunes. Additionally, I can see that the music is still on the phone by browsing it though SSH, but for some reason every time I try to access the music app from the phone it doesn't think any music is there. Also, when I go to settings on the iPhone it shows 0 for the number of songs and videos on the device. Do you happen to have any other ideas?

media disappearing from the iphone was a common problem with the 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 firmware versions and not a side effect of a jailbreak, just update to 2.1 and re jailbreak it, i have had zero problems since the update.

mine was doing the same thing with my music files, it stopped though once i uninstalled Kate. that app was causing a lot of problems on my phone for some reason

Kate seems like a great app / idea, but it's crazy how often, when a user has really bizarre, erratic behavior from their iPhone, it ultimately turns out to be Kate. :(
