Hello fellow members! I apologize for my ignorance, but I've been searching topics all morning, and can't seem to find the answer to my question.

As stupid as it may sound, I want to know if I can jailbreak my iPhone on my windows machine, and then sync all my apps and such back from my Mac. Is this possible?

Anyone? I really want to jailbreak my iPhone, but want to make sure I won't have a problem getting all my data back on the device.

Although I've never tried this (I only have a PC), I can't think of any reason this shouldn't work. Jailbreaking and sync are exclusive of each other. I'm about 95 percent sure you should have no problems.

This is the only way I could get it to work. Jailbreaking on a Mac is a joke. I did it in less than 15 minutes on my windows laptop then immediately plugged it into my iMac and synced with no hitches.

Thank you for the responses. I'm downloading all the necessary files to get going on jailbreaking.

For what it's worth, I've never had any trouble jailbreaking on my Mac. It went smoothly with both PwnageTool, and QuickPwn.

I'm not sure what issues you experienced, but they obviously must be the exception, and not the rule.
