Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

I'm interested in jailbreaking my iPhone 3G, I was an avid jailbreaker with my iPod touch, but since the App Store has come out I've been a bit more reluctant.

I have one question, which method should I use if I want to get Installer & Cydia, BUT in no way do I want to mess around with the baseband and all of that stuff. I really don't want to jeaporide my phone for future updates etc.

I've also read about things on unlocks, about if you use some method it will make your phone unable to unlock in the future.

Just another vote for quickpwn if you are using windows. I had no jailbreaking experiance at all and using quickpwn was so easy I can't believe I waited this long!!
