Jailbreak Question

Ok, I have an iPhone but I recently cancelled ATT service. They tell me that as soon as I have to retore the phone i will no longer have WiFi because that won't work unless you have ATT service. So, can anyone confirm that Jailbreaking will or will not unlock WiFi?

Jailbreaking lets you do anything minus phone service on any GSM carrier.

WiFi should work regardless of carrier service or not.

That is true, if you no longer have AT&T, then you no longer have any of the AT&T hotspots.
