I jailbroke my phone two weeks ago, and it became unstable... does anyone else have have the same problem?? thanks!

I've been jailbroken for over a full year with no problems whatsoever.

But for what it's worth I'm still on 4.0 and don't have it bogged down with a bunch of crap like backgrounds and whatnot. I just have 3G unrestrictor, iBlacklist, SBSettings, stuff like that.

You're still on 4.0? No 4.0.1 or 4.1? My god.

Lol, yep I'm literally still on 4.0

I've actually been thinking lately of going to 4.2+ so I can get Find My iPhone and some other stuff but man, the thought of screwing with iTunes just turns me off. Everytime I do anything with iTunes it seems to erase a bunch of crap off my phone. I can't seem to manage to figure out how to make iTunes to just default to how my phone is CURRENTLY setup (and no, iTunes, I don't want to have to check every app one by one by one, etc.) so I just do without.

I don't see why this isn't an option in iTunes (unless I'm missing something). There should just be a checkbox for this. iTunes is very un-intuitive.

It depends on what JB items you installed on it.
I keep about 6-8 JB addons that I really need and dont install every single thing on cydia.
Stick with what works and mostly with the popular packages.
Or install things slowly one by one to figure out the app that's causing the problems.

It's all about what you put on your phone. I am running the below apps from Cydia and it is completely stable. Just don't put a ton of crap om the phone.

Lockinfo
Lockinfo Weather
Mywi
TvTube

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

I believe that there is a Cydia app that allows you to sync your jb ip4 to iTunes apps and all I forgot the name of the app but it shouldn't be hard to find

The act of Jailbreaking doesn't make your phone unstable. All it allows you to do is have root access to the system files. What could have been causing your phone to crash is some tweaks you've downloaded off Cydia. Make sure whatever tweak you want to install is compatible with the firmware you're on.

no one...
the problem is not the jb but any add-ons or apps you are using from cydia ;)

actually ALL of the ABOVE .. .i am on version 4.3.3... if it still like this for the next two days... i will restore my phone :(

I was jailbroken on 4.3.3 for a while. Seemed to be experiencing issues like bad battery life, crashing etc.

I got 4.3.3 IPSW via iFaith upgraded to 4.3.5 and it's been alot better.

I think I'm going to stay stock.

Dear everyone... just want to let you know I have restored my iPhone to the original setting... tired of it

thanks for all your help!!

I would've removed any Cydia apps one by one to find the app that was causing your problems.

Shame to lose JB over 1 or2 errant apps.

Exactly.

You went to too much of an extreme, OP.

You didn't have to lose your jailbreak. You could've tested to see which app/add-on it was.

i dont have that much tweaks and it goes safe mode like once a day. I think its the mobile notifier tweak that provides ios 5 notifications. kinda annoying its crashing that much... cant wait for ios 5! then ill just jb for 5 icon doc :D
