So let me get this straight. If I have an OTB 1.1.2 iphone, I can "Jailbreak" the phone, but I can not "Unlock" the phone? Do I have this right?

From my understanding, jailbreaking is opening the phone up to 3rd party apps, and unlocking is being able to use an type of sim card?

One last question... If I want to keep ATT as my service, I only need to Jailbreak, and NOT unlock the phone?
