Just jailbroke my iPhone 6+ 64gb

First I restore to iOS 8.1 set up as new iPhone, did not set up Passcode or TouchID, did not sign in to iCloud. Then put the phone to Airplane mode then start jailbreaking using PanGu 1.2.1 everything when well, Cydia & Pangu icons appear. So i run Cydia to make sure JB successful. Try reboot iPhone no prob at all. Aft that I restore fr backup to get my all data back, it went well too, tried reboot again no prob too.

Now, i thought everything is ok, start setting up Passcode, tried reboot, bang! stuck in bootloop Apple logo :(

Will restore and reJB

Did I miss anything here? Thought bootloop issue with Passcode has been resolved in Pangu 1.2.1.

Or is it I didn't install Cydia Substrate before setting up Passcode?

Please help me, thanks in adv

Same thing happened to me and it turned out to be a bad back up. Try the same steps with out restoring your back up and see if it still throws you in a boot loop. If it doesnt then it was a bad back up. Good luck

FWIW I jailbroke my iPad rMini a week ago & had the same issue. The screen was stuck on the Apple logo & would not move. A hard reset did nothing so i ended up having to restore to factory to get it back to normal. It had me pretty worried that i'd be stuck with a paper weight. So now i'm jailbreaking my iP6 as i type this but doing it differently. I restored to factory, restored from backup, then the jailbreak. Hoping that everything is stable & works out this time around cuz the iOS 7 jailbreak was BAD w/ constant crashes & reboots. I hope Pangu w/ iOS 8 is a different experience.

Keep us posted once you are done with jailbreaking your iP6. Hope all goes well.

looks to be the backup causing the issues

was stuck on apple logo so I

restored, jailbroke again, installed a few tweaks, rebooted(slide to power off) and it came back on fine, added a touch ID rebooted and it came back on fine

restored from a backup and it got stuck on apple logo after a reboot

You're right, had this on mine too. If you want to restore a backup you have to do it before you open Cydia. Then it should be fine.

thanks a lot restoring from backup before opening cydia for the first time solved my stuck on apple logo after reboot issue

funny thing is I remember one tutorial said that, but I watch a few more that did not mention it, I also posted the question on here and a few replies said did not matter the sequence if you opened cydia first or not

guess in my case it did matter

Almost 24 hours in & all is well. Installed a few tweaks & rebooted (from power button), & My iP6 is still good. To anyone curious about what steps I took to jailbreak, follow the Quotes backward from this conversation. Good luck fellas !

I did the exact same thing, and it appears to have worked as well.

Jailbreak after you restore your backup and sync!

I think as long as you restore from your backup before launching cydia you will be fine too thats what worked for me

Correct. I also believe that if you accidentally open cydia before restoring your backup, you can uninstall and reinstall cydia substrate. This should avoid any boot loops.

Managed to resolved bootloop issue.

Restore and reJB my iP6+ and follow the sequence below

1. Fresh restore to ios 8.1 set as new phone
2. Jailbreak using Pangu 1.2.1
3. DO NOT open/run Cydia yet
4. Restore your backup from itunes
5. Run Cydia
6. Set password and Touch ID.

Have been using my phone for almost 2 days and reboot many times without issue. Hope it stays without issue :)

Same method i used after trying 2 other sequences that gave to boot issue this method seems to work

Before restoring backup, make sure you go to cydia and get the newest updates for cydia, Pangu untethered and cydia substrate.

You need to setup password *before* running cydia

fresh install 8.1
don't setup passcode or touchID
pangu
reboot
(restore from backup if you have one and want to use it)
setup passcode
(I reboot again, but might not be necessary)
run cydia

the problem is that passcode encrypts the flash drive
if you start cydia before the flash drive is encrypted, it moves system files that either can't be read or something else. I'm not sure but I found this information after I kept getting bootloops and the resolution was to allow cydia to move system files after everything else was done
