Jailbreak with 3.1 3g?

If I am reading correctly, since I updated my iPhone to 3.1 and am on a windows machine, I cannot Jailbreak my phone? Or is that strictly unlocking, which I don't need.

you can use PT to jailbreak your iphone 3G


but you need to get a friend with a mac to help you....PT does not work on windows

So there is a JB for 3Gs 3.1 but not for the 3G 3.1??? (windows).
