jailbreak with 8.0.1?

I have a 16g EDGE iphone running 2.1(official) and i was going to jailbreak it but im not sure if itunes 8.0.1 bricks it or doesn't allow it somehow???

Everything I have read is that it works fine with phones that are currently jailbroken. Don't know the status of doing a jailbreak with it though. Guess I'll find out since I am planning to jailbreak my wife's phone this weekend.

So did you get around to testing it out? I want to re-jailbreak my phone and set it up fresh and I have iTunes v8.0.1 installed just wondering how it went for you. I'll probably end up doing it regardless, but I thought I would get some insight while I'm at it.

Yep I just did it about 5 mins ago quickpwn works perfectly with iTunes v8.0.1.

i Jailbreaked my phone last night and everything went pretty well. The first time i think i messed up when i had to put it in DFU mode but the second time worked perfectly. I let it sync overnight and now i have all my old information and a jailbreak.

Everything seems to work perfectly fine with 8.0.1 but it seems like the syncs are REALLY REALLY slow. Is this because of jailbreaking?
