Jailbreak with no cydia

Just one question i want to jailbreak and install blacksn0w to open up my network from orange to 02 but i dont want cydia (no need for it). so my question is do i need to update the openSSH settings so that no viruses will affect me?

Nope. SSH isn't installed until you open up Cydia or Rock and install it.

You can run Blackra1n, to jailbreak, without installing Cydia, but Blacksn0w, to unlock, is generally installed via Cydia.

You can install it via the blackra1n app itself. I agree, though, that I would use Cydia. I've heard of fewer problems when people install from Cydia (though that could be because people who install from Cydia generally have jailbroken with PwnageTool).
