Jailbreaking 1.1.2

I updated from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 then installed okiprep to update to 1.1.2.
The phone froze up and restored to 1.1.2

Now, the phone is locked and it won't enter DFU. I've tried doing the home/power button-let go of power once the screen goes dark-

Could the reason be that I don't have an ATT sim in the phone???
