Yep, running it right now. Battery percentage no longer replaces the battery icon with a percentage, but places it beside the icon. Also, unrelated, but you can make it so the date appears alongside the time on the top menu bar.

Im waiting until quickpwn is released. i think that means ill be able to jailbreak without restoring?

I've read it was released... Anyone try it? Does it enable battery percentage? Thanks....

Jailbroke my phone earlier today as soon as I saw it had been released. No problems so far. Yes there is stuff you can download to change the battery.

I jailbroke last night. what's the name of the app for the battery indicator? i tried searching and no luck.

Thanks for the replies, but I think I should clarify on my question, if I jailbreak (from a non previous jailbroken phone) will it unlock the battery percentage feature already on the phone? Since people got this from people updating to 3.0 from the 2.2.1 jailbroken firmware

Not automatically. Download SBSettings (which is amazing) and then once you've installed that from Cydia swipe over the top bar and you'll get a menu. Click on "More" then "Extras & Options" and enable Numeric Battery.

Sweet, thanks. Now I just have to wait until quickpwn is released

For those of you who have iphone 3.0 3G, speed differences between jailbroken vs. not jailbroken.

In the 2.2.1 software the jailbreak was sooo much slower. Just wondering if they have fixed this.

If not, I'm just going to stick without the jailbreak. (although paying for apps suck)

On my wife's 3G iPhone with 3.0, the redsnow worked fine to jailbreak. No issues with speed compared to prior to jailbreak from what I can tell.

I am anxiously awaiting the Jailbreak for my 3G though!
