Jailbreaking Allows Camera Zoom?

I was at Wrigley field on Monday night for a Cub's game. I saw iPhones everywhere. The guy in front of me had an AT&T jailbroken phone (I saw the AT&T in the corner). I also noticed the different icons on the home screen.

I watched him take a pic. When he started the camera there was a slider on the right side of the screen that he used to zoom in (a lot) to take a pic of the field.

Will we all be able to do this in June? Just curious.

there are apps in installer like this. the iphone's only capable of digital zoom. the same thing you can do yourself when you get home by cropping the picture.

so in other words, it's completely useless.
