using quickpwn to jailbreak and unlock my first gen iPhone and everything went fine until the end. It says pwnage completed successfully please wait for device to reboot. It seems to keep rebooting over and over again but it's not coming off the silver apple screen. Every few minutes it makes the sound when a new USB device is connected the screen blinks and then back to the apple screen. It been about a half an hour but I'm afraid to disconnect it. Any advice would be great.

snook,
I tried the pawnage I believe ( the one with the pineapple) and it took forever to work but it wasnt re setting over and over I just saw the pineapple the whole time. I eventually pulled the plug and re formatted my iPhone as it just didnt seem to be working. Judging by the forums, for some people it goes as smooth as can be but for the odd person it can be a real hassle. Sorry if that doesnt help.

Thanks anything helps. I got past the pineapple and past the part where it said something like flash booting has been completed and your phone will now re start but it been about an hour now and it still re booting. I think i'm going to have to pull the plug soon and see what happens.

this happened when i quickpwned my phone what i did was disconnect from the computer that pwned it and connected it to another computer. this seemed to trigger something and then my quickpwned phone was up and running.

i would try to put it in DFU mode and restore again.

I used quickpwn for my 1st gen and it took about 10 min. What I would do is to restore using itunes and then run quickpwn. If your locked up you can enter DFU mode by pressing both the home and sleep buttons and holding them for 10 seconds then let go of the sleep button and continue holding the home button for another 10 sec. Then using iTunes restore back to factory and then use quickpwn.....this worked for my first gen.

when you quickpwn there are onscreen instruction that say" hold down power and home button for x seconds" did you follow those steps correctly?
