i have a 16 GB iPhone 3G with 2.2 firmware

i want to jailbreak my phone...

whats the easiest way to jailbreak....i also want the option of Unlocking my phone in the future....

is there a step by step guide that can show me....

im also running Windows XP....

thanks!!!

I'm afraid you might be out of luck if you want to have an unlock. The baseband 2.11.07 can be unlocked, but you seem to have a newer one (with the lack of Jailbreaking and 2.2 firmware).

However, you can use Quickpwn with your iPhone 3G to jailbreak it.

follow those instructions.
and download the newest quickpwn from

If you DO have 2.11.07 baseband (you can check by going Settings->General->About->Modem Firmware), get a friend's mac and use pwnagetool. There is no other way to jailbreak an iPhone 3G 2.2 Firmware and keep its baseband.
