I bounce back and forth between the Galaxy phones and the iPhone. One main reason I use android is because of the home screen widgets which I find to be fairly useful. Has anyone jailbroken their phone and then put widgets on the home screen. If so how does it work every time apple issues a software update?

I use the following widgets on the android phone:

1. Full screen google calendar.
2. The weather widget
3. Google Search Bar
4. Pandora and Google Music

There are options.

But…

You have to be on the right firmware to jailbreak. If you have an iPhone 7 then that's 10.1.1 10.2 only.

Anything like 10.3 or higher there is no jailbreak for at the moment.

As far as updating when jailbroken…that's pretty much what you DON'T want to do. You'll lose your jailbreak because you'll go to a firmware that does not have a jailbreak.

Apple doesn't like jailbreaking so they make it as difficult as possible.

But say you are on a firmware that is jailbreakable. Then you'll need to make sure the tweaks you choose are compatible with your firmware.

LockHTML 4 is compatible with iOS 10, but I am not sure if Personal Assistant is.
