Jailbreaking iPhone With 1.1.3 Software

Would it be feasible for me to jailbreak my current iPod Touch? It has the $20 1.1.3 Apps (Mail, Notes, etc.) and as I paid for them, I don't want to downgrade, jailbreak, and have to pay more money upon the release of 2.0 software.

So, can I jailbreak it and keep the current 1.1.3 apps?

You could upgrade to 1.1.4, use the one-click ZiPhone and then get the January update through Installer. Though I don't remember if iTunes remembers whether you've bought the update one you upgrade, someone else might be able to back me up.
