Jailbreaking lose data?

I am about to jailbreak my iphone 3gs using redsnOw. Will i loose my contacts, movie, music, ect. If so how do i get them back? Can i do a restore from itunes or some?

Do a Sync (backup) before you run redsn0w.

You can then put all the stuff back on your phone thru iTunes.

You don't lose anything. The jailbreak is done on top of what you already have on the phone. Just follow the instructions in the program and everything will be fine.

If you still want to make a backup, I think you need to command click on the iPhone in the Devices section on the left side of iTunes and choose "Back Up".

Ok thanks man...now im doing jailbreak right now! after jailbreak is complete will what will itunes back up?? will my jailbrocken stuff be backed up?

No, it just backs up the things that Apple has set (contacts, calender, messages, etc...)
