I was using ZiPhone to jailbreak my new 8 gig iPod Touch.

During the process, my iPod came disconnected from the computer, at which point it was (and still is) unable to be detected by either iTunes, ZiPhone, or anything else for that matter.

When disconnected, the screen reads:

AppleS5L8900XIpodHAL::message
IOIpodUSBDevice::gated_message cable removed, stopping stack

And When reconnected, the screen reads:

AppleS5L8900XUSBWrangler::doCoreInit Hardware config: 0x00000264 0x7a8f60d0 0x082000e8 0x01f08024
AppleS5L8900XUSBWrangler::doCoreInit waiting for core reset...
AppleS5L8900XUSBWrangler::doCoreInit waiting for AHB idle...
AppleS5L8900XUSBWrangler::doCoreInit core reset complete...
AppleS5L8900XIpodHAL::message
IOIpodUSBDevice::gated_message cable is connected, starting stack
IOIpodUSBDevice::startIpodStack can't start! Need Configuration

Please help me! Anything and everything you can give me will be appreciated!

Thank you!

Do a restore in itunes then re-jailbreak. Do not ask how to restore, it has been listed here at least 100 times.

ok firstly plug the touch into pc/mac via usb then if on press and hold the two buttons on the touch till it turns off.

next thing to do is hold the two buttons down again and count to 10, when you get to 10 let go of the top button only, keep holding the home (button button) button and count 10 to 15 seconds and iTunes should pop up sayin device detected in recovery mode now just hit restore.

just out of curiosity what firmware was on it before using ziphone?

Hey guys, thanks for all your help. I fixed my iPod and now it is running just fine with all it's new 3rd party apps. After stressing my mind out, it is hard to believe that the answer was really that simple and easy. I wouldn't have been able to do it without you. Thanks!

Oh, and it was running the 1.1.4 firmware...
