I'm new to the world of "PWNAGE" and I have a few basic questions about how everything works. I'm gonna make it easy and list them by number. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

1. If I want to get my iPhone back to it's original settings and wipe away all evidence of a jailbreak, all I have to do is a complete restore through iTunes, right? Are there any steps I need to do prior to this to ensure my phone won't get screwed up?

2. I noticed that "Cydia" and "Installer" are the main sources of downloadable apps for the jailbroke phone. I figured out how to work Cydia, but Installer is a bit less user friendly. How do you access Installer files and how does it differ from Cydia?

3. I downloaded the NES emulator and can't find the folder to put roms into. I got the Netalife program, but I see nowhere for roms. Also what's the best site to download games from?

4. Finally, will synching with iTunes affect my jailbroke phone? I'm afraid of my phone getting bricked, so what should I watch out for to prevent this?

Thanks for any help guys!

1. to get your phone back to "Unjailbroken" state you would put into DFU mode and plug it into your Mac then iTunes will open and tell you it has found a phone in recovery mode. Click OK
Then hold option key and click restore where a dilalog will open so you can find the original "iPhone1,2_2.0.2_5C1_Restore.ipsw" not the custom restore. and you use that to restore and you have a phone with just Apple software un jailbroken.

As for the others maybe some one else can give you the answer because it's the same reason I don't use installer. and I don't use NES.

Syncing with iTunes is not going to brick your phone once jailbroken it's best to sync it as a new phone anyway.

1. Usually you don't even have to put it into DFU mode, just click restore in iTunes. That's the way it has worked out for me.

2. Installer 4 is still in beta so I would hold off on using that right now. Cydia and Installer are basically the same thing.

3. I have no idea how NES roms work. Maybe try posting something over on http://modmyifone.com/forums

4. iTunes will not harm your phone at all, even if it is jailbroken. Don't be worried about that.

ssh into your phone and put roms in /var/mobile/Media/ROMs/NES i think and change the roms permissions to 777 so u can save

I have only used GPSphone but there both made by ZodTTD so i asume its the same
