Jailbroke to 3.1.2, now 'no signal'

Last night I jailbroke my 3G phone using Pwnage Tool. The phone seems to work great except it can't find a signal. Network says 'Not Available'. How can I fix this?

Assuming you are with AT&T and you created your own custom ipsw, make sure that you unchecked the "activate" option in pwnage. If you left that checked, start over and create a new custom ipsw with the activate option unchecked.

Yes, well I'm beginning to agree with you, scirica... the "carrier logo fixer" described there has been randomly crashing my SpringBoard and causing it to go into "safe mode", so I've uninstalled it via Cydia for now. I'm on Fido in Canada, FWIW.

So maybe I'll try the "Make it Mine" package and name it after myself instead... or maybe I'll just get used to having no carrier in my menu bar.
